Europe’s Best Destinations Organization, headquartered in Brussels, the role of which is tom promote culture and tourism in Europe, has listed Kotor among safest destinations to visit this summer, Mrs Ana Nives Radocić said, director of TO Kotor.
She reminded that TO Kotor had been working hard over the past two years to list this town among the most interesting destinations.
“EBD has declared Kotor one of the safest destinations, considering parameters referring to hygiene in restaurants and shops, as well as benefit from proximity to hospitals and number of hospital beds per inhabitant”, Mrs Nives-Radović said.
However, there are no reasons to be optimistic as far as this season is concerned. Last year in June Kotor had between 2.000 and 3.000 overnights in private and hotel accommodation.
“We can forget that this year. Hotel capacities and apartments will gave different regime, in accordance with the recommendations of the WHO and National Coordination Body. Realization of the overall tourist turnover this year is expected to decline by even 30% compared with projections”, Mrs Radović says.
However, this year and profit accumulated through tourism and time tourism industry will have will be used to create good strategy for the future.
