Flights from Montenegro to northern Italy, that is, Milan and Bologna, were temporarily banned as of Saturday, 29 February, due to an ongoing outbreak of coronavirus.

And what should the passengers do in case they purchased flight tickets for traveling in these two cities during March?

According to the Airports of Montenegro, a passenger should contact an airline they are flying with to a specific destination.

“Airlines should, in accordance with the applicable regulations and conditions of transport that are an integral part of a passenger ticket – either refund or divert the flight of a passenger to the final destination,” the Airports told CdM.

They noted that airlines have different policies when it comes to settling the obligations towards passengers.

“We advise passengers to seek all the necessary information from the airline they are flying with to a certain destination, by filling in a direct written request and following the instructions displayed on the airline’s website.”
