Lufthansa and Airports of Montenegro announce that, for the first time in the history, planes of Lufthansa will land on the Airport Tivat.
“Starting from spring of 2019, passengers of Lufthansa will have the opportunity to fly from Montenegro to one of main centers of Lufthansa i Germany – Frankfurt or Munich, once in a week”, reported the Airports of Montenegro.
The first flight, Tivat-Munich, was scheduled for 13 April 2019. The first flight Tivat-Frankfurt is scheduled for 14 April 2019.
“This new route represents a historical moment for Lufthansa, and we are proud to announce it. Since Montenegro is a very important market, with great potential, Lufthansa decided to open links between Tivat and both centers in Germany. Passengers from Montenegro will be able to use Lufthansa’s huge world network which counts hundreds of destinations and thousands of connections”, says Bernard Wodl, General Manager of Lufthansa Group for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
CEO of the Airports of Montenegro, Danilo Orlandić, says that the importance of Lufthansa’s arrival to Montenegro is immense.
“The most influential and most successful air company decided to open two lines towards Montenegro and that fact makes us all very proud. That tells a lot about our potential and about stability and safety of Montenegro. Hopefully, this is just the beginning”, says Orlandić.
