Luka Vojvodić under arrest for hammering symbols of freedom

Last night Montenegrin police arrested Luka Vojvodić from Podgorica on reasonable grounds that in night between Saturday and Sunday he destroyed marble plaque on the monument in Ravni laz in Piperi, the symbol of the resistance of Montenegrin nation to anti-fascism and occupation.

As Pobjeda finds out, in slightly more than 48 hours Montenegrin police managed to identify the perpetrator who destroyed two marble plaques with a hammer.

The suspect made a statement last night at 9.30 pm and admitted to having committed this criminal offence. He was taken to Basic State Prosecutor’s Office.

Luka Vojvoddić, 18 years old, member of “varvari”, has been fervently supporting radical Serbian nationalist ideas and participating religious processions organized as sign of protest against the adoption of the Law on Freedom of Religion.

There’s no information about whether someone else too k part in fascistic desecration of the symbol of the uprising of Montenegrin nation.

The 13 July Uprising was the greatest popular uprising in enslaved Europe. It started on 13 July 14 and was initiated by Communist Party of Yugoslavia and suppressed within six weeks by powerful Italian offensive. The 13 July uprising was a flame of national liberation battle in Yugoslavia, which contributed to the breakdown of fascism.
