Marković: Azerbaijan interested in Montenegro even more

Prime Minister Mr Duško Marković expressed satisfaction with official talks held on the first day of his official visit to Azerbaijan. He said that meetings had been constructive, and that they were result of excellent relations between Montenegro and Azerbaijan. Mr Marković thinks Azerbaijan is ready to enhance relations with Montenegro.

“Today we talked about how we could make our relations more valuable and create new opportunities for investors. There are many areas where we can improve cooperation. Today we discussed all of them”, said PM.

PM met in the afternoon with the President of National Parliament, Mr Ogtaj Asadov. They agreed that already stable relations between the two countries could be used for strengthening economic cooperation.

Mr Asadov said that Azerbaijan and Montenegro had 18 interstate documents signed. However, that’s just the beginning.

He thanked Montenegro for the great working conditions it provided to Azmont, which is building one of the most prestigious tourist complex in the region – Porto Novi.

“They are all interested in turning to Montenegro even more. And we are ready to create conditions for more investments and development of small and medium enterprises”, said Mr Marković.

Mr Marković expects Azerbaijan to help Montenegro obtain financial assistance for the Adriatic-Ionian corridor as it’s important for Montenegro and entire region.
