Marković to Azerbaijani press: I’m here to improve economic cooperation

Prime Minister Duško Marković told today that his visit to Baku and the Azerbaijan-Montenegro Business Forum are aiming to boost stronger economic cooperation between the two friendly countries.

“Montenegro and Azerbaijan have developed very good and friendly relations. We are not just friends, we are partners as well, and we understand each other when it comes to the national interests. Good interstate relations should be ennobled by good economic cooperation. My visit to Azerbaijan aims to boost economic cooperation between the two states. I discussed it yesterday with the Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov,” Prime Minister Marković told the Azerbaijani press.

Mr Marković stressed that there are several sectors for improving cooperation, in the first line energy, agriculture and trade, adding that the Azerbaijani Azmont Investments is behind one of the greatest investments in Montenegro – Porto Novi project, worth more than €900 million.
