Montenegrin Universal Capital Bank (UCB) has launched a new branch in Dubai by organizing a lavish ceremony in the famous Burj Al Arab hotel with high officials and VIPs from the social and political life of Dubai, bank clients and business partners.
The representative office headquartered in the financial center of Dubai (DIFC) will now allow its clients to perform almost all banking operations without having to travel to Montenegro.
This makes UCB the first Montenegrin bank to open a branch office in the United Arab Emirates, with a primary goal to accommodate the country’s growing business interest in Montenegro and facilitate banking operations.
As Mr. Djordje Djuric, CEO of UCB said, the bank has recognized the growing UAE’s interest in Montenegro.
“Our predictions are that this interest will continue to grow, and in this sense, we want to position ourselves as a modern bank that will further facilitate business operations”, he said adding that while such banking services are always needed and welcome, perhaps the more important aspect of opening a representative office in this rich Arab country will be presentation of Montenegro and its potential to new investors. UCB could explain the conditions for doing business and investing in Montenegro, present its banking and financial sector, and offer many other essential features.
“The majority part of the opening ceremony was in fact reserved for the video presentation of Montenegro and its potentials, so that the guests can see that there are many, many investment opportunities in Montenegro”, said Djuric.
