Montenegro is expecting around 80.000 Chinese tourists this season

Žarko Radulović

If Montenegro had introduced visa liberalization six years ago, there would be hundreds of thousands of Chinese tourists now. Instead, there are going to be up to 80.000 of Chinese tourists, says the president of the Montenegrin Tourist Association , Mr Žarko Radulović.

“It’s a pity we failed to react in due time. Visa liberalization requires less than 48 days. If tourists come in organized groups it’s not even necessary, return ticket and a voucher are just enough”, said Mr Radulović.

Co-owner of Montenegro stars hotel group pointed out that a great number of foreign tourists came to Montenegro without visa.

“That’s the key. Tourism is increasing and the job related to visa liberalization should have been done”.

“We are very satisfied with the beginning of the season. And we are expecting it to be great”, said Mr Radulović.

He said that tourists from the entire world came to Montenegro and Europeans are most numerous.

Mr Radulović is satisfied with the occupancy of hotels Splendid, Blue Star and Montenegro and he expects that everything goes according to the plan.

“We expect the season to last. We are going to have great number of European tourists in the post-season”, concluded Mr Radulović.
