According to the latest annual 2019 Doing Business Report produced by the World Bank, Montenegro takes 50th position in the list of 190 countries.
Compared to the last year’s report, Montenegro increased its ranking by 1,07.
The most significant progress has been made in issuing construction permits, where Montenegro was ranked 40th. Compared to last year, Montenegro has reduced costs and time required to obtain construction permit.
“Such progress proves that the World Bank recognized reform efforts in Montenegro”, said the representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
Indicators for trading across border also show progress. Montenegro has improved its position by reducing costs and time required for import as well as export costs.
“In getting electricity, Montenegro has reduced time, days and costs, retaining the same posiiton”, the Ministry’s statement says.
