Montenegro will show it’s the strongest through tough times

Krivokapić

A member of the parliamentary European Integration Committee and of the Montenegrin Parliament, Mr Ranko Krivokapić, noted that Montenegro will show it’s the strongest through tough times, just as it has already shown so many times in the past.

“By deciding to provide a generous financial support to the Western Balkans, the European Union has shown that solidarity still remains one of the fundamental principles of its organization and activities. Montenegro will receive tens of millions of euro from the EU to support its health system and economic recovery, and according to some announcements, we might be able to use the EU Solidarity Funds as well,” he said.

Mr Krivokapić also assessed that it’s very important that partners and friends of Montenegro back us now when even they themselves are facing many challenges.

He continued: “It is also very important that significant financial and political support to the region comes when most needed and when there’s an increasing suspicion of the public concerning the enlargement policy. The decision to open negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia also means a lot.“
