NATO membership and European integration are crucial to security and economic development

Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro, headed by the president of the Parliament, Mr Ivan Brajović, is taking part in the meeting of the presidents of parliament of the countries of Eurasia which is taking place in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

On his first day in Kazakhstan, Mr Brajović had a meeting with the President of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Askar Mamin.

They pointed out stable political relations as basis for increased economic, cultural and other exchange.

“Mr Brajović pointed out that NATO membership and European integration were crucial to security and further economic development, and that we were committed to cherishing good and stable relations with everybody”, it was said.

With the aim of strengthening economic relations, Prime Minister Mamin suggested organizing business forum of Montenegrin and Kazakh businessmen by the end of 2019.

Mr Brajović also met with the president of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Mustafa Sentop.

Interlocutors pointed out that intense parliamentary cooperation considerably contributed to political understanding and partnership between the two countries.

Mr Sentop stressed that developed economic cooperation confirmed constant investment growth.

“I had pleasure of meeting with my counterpart today. Together we analyzed bilateral relations between Turkey and Montenegro and demonstrated commitment to further improvement of relations between our countries. Such meetings contribute to further improvement of our relations and I’d like to thank Mr Brajović for the encounter”, said Mr Sentop.

He invited Mr Brajović to attend festive ceremony of celebrating 120 years of the formation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in April next year.
