Nautical tourism contributes to cooperation with Morocco

Commercial maritime transport and nautical tourism are important areas for improving cooperation between Montenegro and Morocco. This was assessed at the meeting of Montenegrin transport and maritime minister Osman Nurkovic with his Moroccan counterpart Abdelkader Amar.

The Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs announced that the officials said that the agreements on cooperation between the two countries in the field of air and maritime transport should contribute to economic development and deepening of friendly relations between the two countries.

According to the ministry representatives, an agreement on cooperation in the field of air transport was proposed to colleagues in Morocco, whereas the Moroccan ministry submitted a draft agreement for the maritime domain.

“Currently, the text of the agreement is being harmonized based on comments submitted by the Montenegrin side,” the statement said.

Amar proposed  that a Moroccan expert team visit Montenegro at the end of April in order to discuss details of the common interest and exchange experience and knowledge in the field of maritime and logistics.

The Montenegrin delegation, led by Nurkovic, also took part in Crans Montana Forum in Dakhla, which ended on Tuesday.

The forum brings together leaders of states and governments, ministers, regional and international organizations, MPs and representatives of businesses from all over the world and represents a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences and promotion of the potential of Montenegro.
