Laura Cooper, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, believes that there are no concerns there could be any potential intelligence leaks in Montenegro.
In an interview for Voice of America, she recalled that a quite constructive meeting of the US-Adriatic Charter was held last week and Montenegro took part as well. Regarding the cooperation between the US and Montenegro, Ms Cooper said she didn’t have concerns of any kind.
“And I can tell you that during the talks, there was a very positive tone about the cooperation between the United States and Montenegro, while concerns were expressed about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. So I’m not worried about future cooperation between the United States and Montenegro.”
