Only one COVID-19 patient left in Montenegro

According to the latest data of the Institute for Public Health, there’s only one COVID-19 patient in Montenegro.

The patient is from Gusinje. Since the coronavirus outbreak in Montenegro, a total of 324 cases have been reported.

“Latest analysis showed one positive case which is considered imported. Results of repeated tests were negative which indicates that the infections was probably in the finishing phase, with relatively small number of viral copies, which means that potential infectiveness of the patient is minimal”, representatives of the Institute said.

Although epidemic risk is objectively low, persons who had contact with the aforementioned person have been identified and put in self-isolation.

“Their condition will be monitored in the forthcoming days, with periodical sampling”, institute representatives said.
