Opening chapter 8 was approved by Luxembourg

Luxembourg will, without any delay, approve of  Montenegro opening the remaining negotiation chapter –Chapter 8 which refers to competition policy, said today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Mr Jean Asselborn, in the meeting with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović.

Mr Brajović and Mr Asselborn discussed the situation in Montenegro, in the region and within European institutions and pointed out that it was important that new European parliament consisted mostly of the promoters of the EU concept.

During the meeting with the President and Secretary-General of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Mr George Tsereteli and Mr Robert Montel, they pointed out the commitment of the Parliament of Montenegro within the organization. They also met with the Special Representative of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for South-East Europe, Mr Mark Pritchard. They stated that OSCE PA appreciated the fact that Montenegro had engaged enormous capacities in providing support to regional stability.

Mr Brajović acquainted the representatives of Montenegrin diaspora in Luxembourg with the current affairs in their homeland.
