Pajović: Some media rushed to report on my salary, but failed to mention donations during the coronavirus outbreak

Darko Pajović

Ambassador of Montenegro to China, Mr Darko Pajović, posted on his Facebook page that he donated his March salary amounting to €5.121 to help his country, Montenegro, fight the coronavirus crisis.

He shared this post following the show on TV Vijesti reporting that Mr Pajović was the highest paid Montenegrin diplomat, earning around €5.000 per month, but failing to mention, according to the Ambassador, that he himself and the staff of the Embassy in Beijing donated several thousand euros in order to help Montenegro curb the coronavirus outbreak.

Mr Pajović says that the media have the right to choose the information, but notes that he also has the right to say what some of them largely failed to report on.
