Parliament incident: Request for lifting immunity for 4 DF MPs

Montenegrin MPs are soon to have their say in the matter of lifting immunity for 4 DF MPs, due to the incident in the hall of the Parliament in February this year.

The request came from the Basic State Prosecutor’s office in Podgorica, on the grounds of “criminal act of violent behaviour”.

According to the information of Weekend Edition Dnevne Novine daily, the request has been sent to the speaker of the Parliament, Ivan Brajovic.

“The investigation in the case of the incident that occurred on February 15th 2017 is finalized. The Parliament received a request for lifting immunity of these four MPs, who are suspected of having committed a criminal act of violent behaviour”, the Basic State Prosecutor’s office stated.

The unofficial information point to Marina Jocic, Milutin Djukanovic and Branko Radulovic as candidates for lifting immunity. The identity of the fourth MP is still unclear.

Jocic slapped DPS MP Marta Scepanovic, and confessed to it, stating that it was a “political slap”.

Radulovic grabbed DPS MP Miodrag Radunovic by the neck, and offended DPS MP Ljuidj Skrelja. DPS MP Miodrag Vukovic was also verbally attacked. All the events have been recorded and are available to the public.
