PM Marković: Montenegro is a pillar of anti-fascism and freedom

Montenegro nowadays is on the path of substantial progress thanks to the legacy of anti-fascism, freedom and justice in which we have been living and creating for eight decades already, Montenegro’s prime minister, Mr Duško Marković, said at the meeting with the president and secretary-general of the Association of Fighters of the People’s Liberation War and Anti – Fascist of Montenegro (SUBNOR), Mr Zuvdija Hodžić and Mr Dragan Mitov Đurović.

The Prime Minister hosted earlier today the representatives of SUBNOR on the occasion of 9 May – the Victory Day over Fascism – noting that we owe the historical reputation of our country as the first libertarian territory in enslaved Europe to the thirteenth of July insurgents and fighters.

“Both sides agreed that the defense and preservation of the achievements of anti-fascism is the task and obligation of every individual, especially our democratic institutions, adding that harmony and solidarity over the fundamental values of Montenegrin society, including anti-fascism, are more necessary today than ever before,” the government stated.
