PM would rather let you take his tooth out than say who “Mr Percentage” is

Šeki Radončić

In a month and a half, Montenegro became a banana state in the full sense of the word. We got the government that in two months pulled Montenegro to the end of the composition headed to the European Union… So, Montenegro is not where it used to be, a champion in the European integration, a champion in multiethnic harmony, an absolute champion in democratic steps, said the prominent journalist and publicist Mr Šeki Radončić in the Teleskopija show on the State Broadcaster.

Commenting on the events on the Montenegrin political and social scene, the messages of the new rulers, Mr Radončić especially referred to the story served to the public and the international community by the new government, especially Prime Minister Krivokapić and Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, that they are committed to the fight against crime and corruption.

„…and it is him to speak about the fight against corruption, whereas it would be easier to take out his tooth than force him to say who is „Percentage“ and who took a commission in the emission of state bonds… Is it Mr Zdravko Krivokapić or Mr Milojko Spajić or someone else? „Mr Percentage” must be found or the Prime Minister Krivokapić should resign. Mr Abazović will also have to say who offered him a bribe amounting to €21 million,“ said Mr Radončić.

THEY SELL THEMSELVES AS DEMOCRATS WHILE BEHAVING AS STALINISTS

Mr Radončić said that Mr Abazović is the product and protectee of Vijesti, so the URA’s support to SPC is not a surprise.

„They have always presented themselves as a civic option, so has Dritan presented himself as an ethnic Albanian. Vijesti and Dritan have managed to present themselves to the world as people who will not allow Montenegro to go backward, on the tracks of the Greater Serbia and the Middle Ages, but, on contrary, on the tracks laid down by President Milo Đukanović and his government. But, what’s done has been done, and they are selling themselves to the world as democrats and experts, while in Montenegro they are behaving like Stalinists,“ Mr Radončić commented.

A separate thing, he says, is nepotism, which they also announced a fierce fight against.

„The government members are employing their girlfriends, one Minister is, according to what media say, a boyfriend of the PM’s daughter, while Mr Branko Radulović’s daughter was appointed director of the Clinical Center, and his son could be appointed director of MA or the Airports of Montenegro. It is classic nepotism. Now we come to cronyism. And that is the hiring of friends, comrades, lawyers, business partners…“ Mr Radončić emphasized.

Commenting on the experts in the Government, Mr Radončić drew a parallel with the events in China during the rule of Mao Zedong.

„During one period of his reign, a great famine struck, so he called on experts to ask what to do. They told him to kill all the sparrows in China because sparrows eat corn and people are left with nothing to eat. So he accepted that, all the sparrows in China were killed. And what happened next year? Yellow meadow ants and other insects ate corn because there were no sparrows to eat the insects. Such a terrible famine struck that it took more than 15 years for China to recover. They even imported sparrows. I’m afraid that something similar is happening to us today. We have experts, but according to the damage they have made to Montenegro in two and a half months, I think we will be healing wounds for 15 years, just like China did after the yellow ants,” commented Mr Radončić.

Mr Radončić points out that the new government is behaving like the Bolsheviks – removing only people from the previous rule, which is illegal.

„Today, the one who protects the Constitution is President Đukanović, and it is them who have been trying to prove that Mr Đukanović was acting contrary to the Constitution and law. They do not understand what a paradox they have put themselves in,” says Mr Radončić.

When asked why the Democratic Front continues to support Mr Krivokapić and his government when they criticize them so much, Mr Radončić said that everyone in the new majority is aware that this government is short-lived.

“Mr Krivokapić visits Herceg Novi, Budva, Nikšić. And there he gains support for his future party. Mr Bečić immediately understood that, so he also went to Herceg Novi, then to Berane, and kissed Joanikije’s hand, as he realized that a new game is being prepared. But DF makes a mistake to wait for Mr Krivokapić’s mistakes believing that the people will “take him down” and allow the Front to come to power.  The more DF suffers and tolerates Mr Krivokapić, the more time he will have to gather support from the DF electorate. And it will break – immediately after the elections in Nikšić or a month later, but it will eventually break. I believe that this government can hardly last until June,” Mr Radončić said.

Wherever there was an evil against Montenegro over the last ten years, Vijesti were involved

Commenting on the media scene in the context of the attempted terrorism in 2016, Mr Radončić says that about € 800,000 of Russian money was given to Vijesti for the DF’s campaign.

„Wherever there was an evil against Montenegro over the last ten years, Vijesti were involved. Trace the smell of money and you will find at least one of the owners of Vijesti,“ says Mr Radončić.

Vučić is pushing Serbs into a new hot spot  in Montenegro

„Serbia has not learned anything, nor has (Aleksandar) Vučić learned anything from Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo experiences. How did the Serbs end up? Serbs from those countries were driven out by the wrong Greater Serbia policy. I am afraid that Mr Vučić is pushing Montenegrin Serbs into a new hot spot. If things continue to evolve this way, it will be very difficult to avoid armed conflicts in Montenegro, because relations are strained as people who took power think they have won the revolution and act like revolutionaries, they do what they want, and they have the protection of the Serbian Orthodox Church. They are taking their positions in-depth after they have done so horizontally, but the question is how long the free Montenegrin people will be able to tolerate this. I warn that if this continues, I think Đukanović and all politicians in Montenegro will be facing a huge problem and that it will be very difficult to preserve peace. The spirit can easily be let out of the bottle, but it is difficult to bring it back. I am not saying that there will be a civil war, but I am really afraid of big incidents,” warns Mr Radončić.
