Having in mind the results of analyses from the Public Health Institute and Germany, Podgorica won’t be put under new lockdown restrictions, whereas six municipalities – Žabljak, Budva, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Kolašin and Bijelo Polje – will face somewhat tighter coronavirus restrictions. Milder restrictions will be in place in Nikšić, Berane and Andrijevica.
After the 14-day limitations in Nikšić, this town now belongs to Group 2, which means that hospitality venues can work until 10pm alongside mandatory compliance with Covid-19 rules, whereas teaching & learning will be online. Berane and Andrijevica now belong to Group 1 and controls over compliance with the prescribed measures will be intensified.
According to the Institute, even though the situation in Pljevlja is somewhat better, the need for strict adherence to measures for at least 14 days in this town still exists, so all measures from Group 3 are still in place.
The Institute was late with announcing this week’s results as they were waiting for the data from Germany – of 212 samples received on Sunday, October 18, 102 were positive. New cases are from:

In order to be able to react timely and adequately when it comes to the spread of the coronavirus, the Institute for Public Health proposed the introduction of a methodology, meaning that the decision on restrictive measures will be founded on monitoring rates of cumulative 14 – day incidence (KI).
Based on all registered Covid-19 cases in the period from Saturday 3 October at midnight to Friday 16 October at midnight, the rates of cumulative 14-day incidence have been calculated as well as the list of municipalities that will begin the application of coronavirus measures as of Monday, 19 October at midnight.
