Polar Empress, the ship that is to start a 3D seismic research of the Ulcinj offshore area for oil and gas exploration, arrived at the Port of Bar around 10pm last night.
The ship will stay in the Port of Bar for the next 2 days, the Port Captaincy of Bar confirmed for Pobjeda daily.
The exploration will cover around 1,200 square kilometers of the seabed, on the quadrants subject to a concession agreement with the Italian-Russian consortium of Eni and Novatek.
The ship will undergo preparations for the forthcoming research in the next few days, it is envisaged the exploration to last until 21 December, while it might take longer in case of bad weather conditions.
