Power supply delays on motorway because of delays in construction

The power supply system on the priority section of the Bar-Boljare motorway hasn’t been completed yet although the deadline expired on September 30. The company Monteput is obliged to realize this investment, not the Chinese CRBC. The executive director of Monteput, Mr Jonuz Mujević, told Pobjeda daily that the works on the electrical network depended on CRBC’s works on the route and sewerage.

“So far, 90 percent of the electricity network has been completed for units one and two, and 60 percent for unit three,” said Mr Mujević, explaining that CRBC first must build a route and sewerage in order for them to run cables, because the Chinese company is doing the construction part, while Monteput is in charge of electrical works.

The company Novi Volvox is in charge of the construction of first and third unit, whereas the Budva-based Electro Team took the second one.

The estimated value of works on the first unit, including VAT, is €9.86 million, on the second €8.7 million, and on the third €19.65 million.

The total estimated value of the works is €38.23 million, while Monteput ensured this amount from a loan made by the Investment and Development Fund (IRF).
