Seven coronavirus deaths, 132 new cases, while recoveries surge

Another 132 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Montenegro today, while a further seven people had died Tuesday of the virus. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Podgorica (2), Bijelo Polje, Nikšić, Bar, Kotor and Žabljak. Meanwhile, 293 people beat the virus. There are currently 4.064 active cases, i.e. 645 infections per 100K people, the Public Health Institute announced.

Labs of the Public Health Institute as well as private labs carrying out PCR diagnosis of the coronavirus have pulled 777 samples for PCR testing in the last 24 hours and detected 132 new cases.

New cases are from Podgorica 54, Ulcinj 24, Bar 17, Nikšić 7, Pljevlja 6, Rožaje 6, Budva 5, Kotor 3, Berane 3, Bijelo Polje 2, Andrijevica 2, Plav 1, Herceg Novi 1 and Tuzi 1.

Data show there have now been 239 coronavirus-related deaths in MNE from early June, i.e. 247 since the pandemic started in March.
