President Đukanović delivers speech at the HRC session

Montenegro’s President, Milo Đukanović, is heading for Geneva, Switzerland today to take part in the High-Level Section of the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council (HRC), held at the Palace of Nations. The President will also deliver a speech at the session tomorrow.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslberger, President of the Human Rights Council, Tijjani MuhammadBande, President of the UN General Assembly, António Guterres, UN Secretary-General, Michelle Bachelet, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Foreign Affairs Minister of Switzerland and a member of the Federal Department, Ignazio Cassis.

During the visit, President Đukanović will have a series of bilateral meetings, primarily with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, and President of the Human Rights Council, Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslberger, the President’s office said in a statement.

He will also be a high-ranking guest at a luncheon hosted by the President of the Human Rights Council – the Permanent Representative of Austria, in honor of the UN Secretary-General and the President of the General Assembly.
