Mr Aleksa Bečić, who was yesterday appointed president of the Parliament of Montenegro, has received many messages from officials, ambassadors, representatives of political parties and citizens from the country and abroad.
Among others, Mr Igor Zoričić, president of the Slovenia’s National Assembly, also sent a congratulatory note to Mr Bečić in which he expressed his firm belief that Mr Bećić would devote his greatest efforts to strengthen well-being, coexistence and progress of all Montenegrin citizens.
“President Zoričić expressed satisfaction with honest, close and friendly relations between Montenegro and Slovenia. Slovenia will continue to promote EU enlargement process”, Mr Bečić’s cabinet said.
In his reply, Mr Bečić pointed out that it “is his great honor to be the head of one of the most important institutions in Montenegro’s democratic development”.
“One of the priorities of the new Parliament will be work on further improvement of stable relations with our neighbors and regional ties, joint perspective of the region and better economic connection”, Mr Bečić’s letter says.
