Pribilović: I’m satisfied with the 2019 EC Report on MNE

Suzana Pribilović, the Minister of Public Administration in the Montenegrin govt, told Dnevne Novine daily she is personally and professionally satisfied with the comments in this year’s European Commission Progress Report on Montenegro when it comes to the public administration reform. She interprets the Report as a recognition of great effort and hard work of the Ministry of Public Administration, as the aim of the Ministry is to implement all defined activities.

She said: “Of course, the public administration reform is not a responsibility of only one state body, but I’m very satisfied that the Government of Montenegro strongly supported the whole process, and I believe that all the state bodies would provide their contribution to meeting the strategic goals, so that we get an efficient, cost-effective and citizens-oriented public administration.”

Ms Pribilović emphasized that the Report recognized the country’s efforts to create an administration which would provide speedy and high-quality services to the citizens and industry.

The main recommendations given in the Progress Report on Montenegro (recruitment of civil servants and state employees, continuation of efficient implementation of the Optimization Plan, citizens’ access to information of public interest, etc.) have already been recognized by the Government of Montenegro as its main strategic goals and activities, said Minister Pribilović.
