Social Democratic Party (SDP) organised a protest in front of the building of the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare in Podgorica due to the increase in fuel prices. It was stated that the Government can and must influence the reduction of fuel excise duties.
The head of the SDP Media Pool Mirko Stanic says that they gathered to send a message to Minister Milojko Spajic and other ministers that the current situation is unsustainable.
“Fuel prices affect the citizens’ standard of living. Spajic’s thesis that the state cannot influence excise duties is not true. The state can and must influence the excise duties reduction”, Stanic points out.
According to him, they have received the support of all political parties in relation to the excise duties reduction.
