Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Pavle Radulović, visited the construction site of bridges Tara 1 and 2 and made a point of being clear about the Tara river flow – it hasn’t changed due to the construction works on the Bar-Boljare motorway. Radulović noted that all the media hype about this issue was because the UNESCO mission is visiting the site next week.

He told journalists: “Construction works on the Tara 1 and Tara 2 bridges are being performed in compliance with the revised Main project for which the construction permit has already been issued.”

The Network for Affirmation of NGO sector, MANS, earlier posted a drone footage where you could see that the Tara river flow had been changed due to the motorway construction works.

After visiting the construction site, Radulović was adamant: “There are means of regulating the Tara riverbed, and the river hasn’t changed its direction.”

He also pointed out that neither Montenegrin nor foreign experts see a problem in the existing flow regime of the Tara River.
