Radunović: Public debt will not increase

Public debt must not go up and we must not go into debts for the purposes of the motorway. This job can be finished only through the program of public-private partnership, said yesterday Minister of Finance, Darko Radunović at the meeting of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget.

Raško Konjević asked the Minister if the projections of the budget for next year had envisaged funds for the construction of the second section of Bar-Boljare motorway. Minister replied that they couldn’t plan the continuation of the construction.

“We’re trying as hard as we can to adopt the Law on public- private partnership, so that we finish this project in that way”, said Radunović and agreed that expenses must be kept under control.

The Committee, presided by the DPS member Predrag Sekulić, suggested adoption of the Law on Budget for the next year which is completely sustainable. Around 2,38 billion EUR was predicted: current budget – 910,74 million EUR, state funds budget – 700 million EUR, capital budget – 320,93 million EUR, finance transactions – 432,35 million EUR and reserves – 20 million EUR.
