Relations between Montenegro and Georgia are very stable

Montenegro’s president, Mr Milo Đukanović, welcomed Mr Archil Talakvadze, president of the parliament of Georgia, who arrived in Montenegro for an official state visit.

President Đukanović expressed satisfaction at Mr Talakvadze’s visit, visit continuing practice of permanent political communication between two countries contributing to the enhancement of relations and achievement of joint goals.

Mr Đukanović said that his visit to Tbilisi would be incentive to further improvement of bilateral relations.

He pointed out that Montenegro appreciated Georgia’s contribution to NATO mission and, once again, he emphasized Montenegro’s commitment to open door policy.

He reminded that Montenegro and Georgia had stable communication in the field of defense and emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties and encouraging cooperation in tourism.

Mr Talakvadze thanked Mr Đukanović for generous hospitality and pointed out he was impressed by Montenegro’s achievements and its strong leadership. He reiterated that his country is fully committed to partnership with North-Atlantic Alliance.
