For more than four decades of existence of the Podgorica-Kolasin regional road, more than 1,200 people have died in car accidents on it, particularly through the Platije canyon and further on the road towards Bijelo Polje and the border with Serbia.
That is why it is not surprising that the 70km of the road from Kolasin towards Podgorica is dubbed “the road of fear”.
It’s especially scary when it’s stormy, like today.
Namely, there are a large number of bridges and tunnels constructed along the road by boring rocks. Therefore, during rains, this scene is terrifying, as water is pouring under great pressure from numerous cracks.
Drivers, drive cautiously through the Platije.
