Roaming tariffs somewhat cheaper as of 1 July

Montenegro mobile operators will have to decrease roaming prices for some categories of consumers starting from 1 July 2020, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, EKIP, told Dnevne Novine daily.

Namely, the ministries competent for the area of electronic communication from Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo signed in April last year the Regional Roaming Agreement for the WB, based on which Crnogorski Telekom, Telenor and M:tel will have to start applying the new, somewhat lower, roaming tariffs.

The EKIP announced: “In accordance with the aforementioned decision of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, customers from Montenegro, when using roaming services in the member countries of the Agreement, starting from 1 July will be paying maximum prices without value added tax (VAT) as follows: for outgoing calls on networks from Montenegro €0.0816 per minute, for incoming calls from the region €0.04 per minute, for SMS messages on networks in Montenegro €0.035, while up to €0.0262 per megabyte will be charged for data transmission service”.

In addition, from 1 July 2020, the Montenegrin mobile operators will have to decrease other tariffs as well, so the incoming calls from the region will be charged a maximum of €0.025 per minute, while data transmission service will range from €0.015 to €0.18 per megabyte.
