Ruling of Commercial Court confirmed: Govt lost a legal battle

Vlada

The Commercial Court Panel denied as unfounded the objection of the Government of Montenegro and confirmed the previous ruling prohibiting the session of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro previously scheduled for 25 February, Pobjeda daily reports.

This ban followed the request of the EPCG that the court should allow a temporary measure and ban holding of the 22nd extraordinary session of the shareholders’ assembly, scheduled by the government for 22 January.

The ruling says the government was required to publish in at least two dailies the information that the assembly’s session was cancelled and pay €261.50 for dispute costs.

The EPCG Board of Directors scheduled the session of the shareholders’ assembly for next Tuesday, while the agenda should include dismissals of all members of the board and nomination of new ones. The government planned to do the same, but the Commercial Court derailed it.
