Russia will extend its influence via diplomatic measures and economic pressures, said foreign policy analyst of Politika daily Bosko Jaksic. He predicts Russia will ask for a more active obstruction of interior politics from its proxy parties in Montenegro.
“I believe Russia will use and strengthen all channels of influence it has in Montenegro”, Jaksic said.
He believes President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will strive to maintain good relations with Podgorica.
