Gusinje foundation from New York, “Rumija” cultural center from Chicago and other associations that gather diaspora will keep working on the improvement of education infrastructure, was the conclusion of Mr Damir Šehović0s official visit to the USA.
While attending the donor evening organized by the Foundation, Mr Šehović said that our numerous diaspora owed to its homeland with its patriotic attitude and are for its vital interests.
“We owe you gratitude because you have shown so many times that you have heart. You share what you have with those who need it most”, pointed out Mr Šehović.
Minister stressed that the country respected Plav and Gusinje by carrying out many infrastructure projects in those towns.
“I am proud of what you do, and I’m glad you don’t lack enthusiasm. You motivate us to continue to fight for our homeland, for our and your Montenegro”, concluded Mr Šehović.
Mr Šehović also attended ceremonial reception, traditionally organized by General consulate in New York.
Together with the president of the Municipality of Bar and president of the “Rumija”, Mr Šehović signed Memorandum on the cooperation in the implementation of the project “Construction of the sport hall in the Mrkojevići Elementary school in Bar. “Rumija” cultural center is going to earmark $50.000 for the project, whereas the Municipality of Bar will provide €150.000. The rest will be provided by the Ministry.
