So far, 50 employment termination agreements have been concluded in the local self-governments, that is, severance payments amounting to €377,899 have been paid, Minister of Public Administration, Ms Suzana Pribilović, told in an interview for Dan daily.
She emphasized that the employment termination agreements were signed in local authorities and services of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Nikšić, Berane, Podgorica, Žabljak, Herceg Novi, Petnjica and Cetinje, and it is expected the number to increase by the end of the implementation of the public administration optimization plan.
Comment on the implementation of the public administration optimization plan and whether there were some breaches or irregularities, Minister Pribilović noted: “I am satisfied that in the previous implementation period we have shown that, when there is a strong will and readiness of all people involved in one system, it is possible to make progress.
This whole process was primarily characterized by a strong political will to bring it to the end, as well as a good coordination of it. In the previous period, we managed to stop the trend of employment growth in public administration and introduce strong control mechanisms. In practice, this means that any new recruitment in public administration must be well elaborated and approved beforehand.”
