President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, met with the Delegation of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly of Slovenia and expressed his satisfaction with excellent Montenegro-Slovenia relations. Mr Brajović highlighted fruitful cooperation between the countries in different areas.
Mr Brajović expressed gratitude for the support Slovenia had been pledging for Montenegro’s integration process and emphasized the importance of the respect for candidate countries’ achievements.
“He added that Slovenia was one of our most important investors, and that stable relations between two parliaments should be used for the purposes of further strengthening economic ties”, the statement said.
President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Matjaž Nemec, reiterated that Slovenia was committed to respecting the regatta principle and pointed out that his country was proud of all Montenegro’s achievements.
“For Slovenia, Montenegro is a stability factor in the region”, it was said in a statement.
Mr Brajović and Mr Nemec exchanged views on the political situation in Montenegro, Slovenia and in the region.
