  1. 1. 19-year-old girl dies in a car crash

A 19-year-old girl, A.S., has died following a car crash on 18 October at 10:56pm. The accident happened on the Podgorica-Cetinje main road, that is, in Donji Kokoti neighborhood, the National Police told CdM.

Two people have been injured.

  1. Members of Administrative Committee elected, Milun Zogović named as new chair

Members of the Parliament of Montenegro elected today members of the Administrative Committee.

Of the 66 MPs, 64 voted for the election of the chair and members of the Administrative Committee, while two were against. The parliament’s discussion was marked by a heated debate between the DF MP, Mr Milan Knežević, and the DPS MP, Mr Luiđ Škrelja.

  1. DF members were insulting Božena Jelušić, while she simply replied: I don’t accept such political folklore

The last week’s parliament sitting was marked by harsh words among some MPs. During the address of the Black on White MP, Ms Božena Jelušić, some of the DF MPs had inappropriate and insulting statements.

  1. Prelević and Peković shot dead on Saturday, several persons interrogated

At least three person plotted the murder of the Podgorica residents, Nemanja Prelević, 28, and Danilo Peković, 18. According to CdM, the young men were killed last Saturday but their bodies were found the day after.

Several people were questioned in connection with this case.

  1. Milačić’s statement in parliament – a slip of the tongue or genuine belief

“We backed the coalition agreement in order to get rid of the greatest cancer – NATO, while in Montenegro it’s the DPS.”

Those were the words of Mr Marko Milačić today during the parliament’s session, but it’s unclear whether NATO or the DPS represent the cancer in Montenegro.

  1. New political force: For our Montenegrin world, where there’s room for everybody who respects this state

Main Committee of the Patriotic association of Montenegro adopted in Čevo yesterday Statute of the party and elected mangers. Mrs Tatjana Knežević-Perišić will be the head of the presidency, Mr Vladimir Bulatović and Ms Irina Redžepagić will be vice-presidents, Ms Ivana Kažić is the president of the youth, Mr Janko Krivokapić will be secretary and members of the Committee will be Mr Miljan Popović, Mr Bojan Franović, Ms Milica Krivokapić, Mr Fikret Hadžialijagić and Mr Danilo Ščepanović.

“New political force of Montenegro will advocate for the European and civil state and for the right of Montenegrin people to develop its identity, culture and religious beliefs freely,” they pointed out.

  1. Dan daily: Ministry of Interior goes to DF, justice to Democrats and URA gets defense

Prime minister-designate and leader of the bloc ‘For the Future of Montenegro’, Mr Zdravko Krivokapić, has made a draft of the division of departments in the new government, Dan finds out.

  1. Coronavirus: Eight more people have died, 193 new infections

Eight more people were killed by Covid-19 in a single day in Montenegro. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Cetinje, Podgorica, Ulcinj (3), Herceg Novi, Nikšić and Pljevlja. Meanwhile, 193 new cases were recorded as well as 223 recoveries. There are currently 3.765 active cases, i.e. 598 infections per 100K people.

  1. Abazović: Process of the formation of Montenegro as a civil state won’t be fast

Leader of the Civic Movement URA, Mr Dritan Abazović, said that process of the formation of the new, civil Montenegro, “will not be fast”.

He said this while commenting on the statements made by Mr Zdravko Krivokapić that Montenegro is a Serbian state, and the video that shows Mr Krivokapić kissing the tricolor.

  1. Krivokapić doesn’t want Mandić, Knežević and Medojević for ministers

Prime minister-designate, Mr Zdravko Krivokapić, doesn’t want the leaders of the Democratic Front, DF – Mr Andrija Mandić, Mr Milan Knežević and Mr Nebojša Medojević – for ministers in the new government, CdM sources close to Mr Krivokapić claim.

According to them, Mr Krivokapić wants to set up a team comprising people not burdened with political exhaustion and court proceedings, for both domestic and international public.
