Street sweepers of the town company ‘Čistoća’ Ltd. [In English: Cleanliness] from Podgorica are deep cleaning up public surfaces on a daily basis, and are taking care of the waste in our city, and Tuzi as well, and nothing has changed for them during the coronavirus pandemic. They do the fieldwork every day and are devoted to it even more during the pandemic.
One of these hard-working employees is Mr Muhamed Hajruši, who has been working in this company for eight years. Even though he finds his job difficult, as the waste is growing, he’s satisfied with the working conditions and his main priority is to finish his job on time.
“This is a hard work to do, there’s a lot of waste, and it’s very difficult to keep the city clean. Sometimes we have less job to do, sometimes more, but the most important thing is to finish it on time.”
He continued: “Having in mind the pandemic and our situation, it’s hard for us nowadays and I’ll use this opportunity to urge the residents to dispose of their household waste in containers and please stay home. In that way, you will protect yourselves and others as well.”
