Ten to Eight – Fidelity Charged Through EBRD

Good morning! The EBRD is silent about how Fidelity got a contract worth €1.7m; Medojevic made noise but will support the budget; Vucic sent €2m to Marko Kovacevic; Bojana Jokic gave up on Jovan Vucurovic, Stara Garda and SDP differ on the government in Cetinje.

Fidelity charged through the EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved €1,747,000 for the Project for Improving Entrepreneurship through Advanced Advisory Support and Information Services, and Fidelity Consulting, a company owned by Milos Vukovic who was mentioned earlier as the potential minister, was chosen as the project implementer, after he used the profile of the company to promote the policies of this government and with the same profile and meme page Finomen participated in the election campaign before last year’s elections.

The EBRD does not respond to CdM’s calls to provide us with information about the bidders, as well as the members of the tender commission who paid Vukovic the money.

Niskic gets €2m from Vucic

The mayor of Niksic, Marko Kovacevic, said that the money promised to Andrija Mandic in the election campaign had been paid, and that it would be used for some infrastructural works. Danica Nikolic, the daughter of the poet Vito Nikolic, demanded that the money not be used to renovate the promenade named after her father. In light of the humiliating statements about Montenegro by Serbian government officials, as well as the fact that the SNS’s interference in the Niksic elections was aggressive and criticized by the international community, the donation should be seen as a corrupt act.

Budget games

Democrats have submitted an Amendment to the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Social and Child Protection, which refers to child support for all children under the age of 18. They also submitted an Amendment to the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which also refers to the minimum pension increase. They are asking for a postponement of the application of both laws for 1 October, instead of, as planned, 1 January 2022, and thus they admit that there is no money for their populist measures.

Nebojsa Medojevic proved once again that his political function is to be an entertainer, not to mention a clown. After all, that is the role of the entire DF. In another performance, he presents a bunch of the most severe criticisms about the planning of state finances, and then in one sentence he says that he will not overthrow the ruling majority, and that he accepts the fact that he remains in the minority.

Jokovic tells the DPS that he will not fail

“Whether I will keep my word or not – I tell you I will keep my word. There are people who keep their words in politics and don’t call them out”, Jokovic told DPS MP Danijel Zivkovic on Friday, reminding him that he had promised to say goodbye to PM Zdravko Krivokapic.

Vucurovic gets sharp criticism

When Jovan Vucurovic was elected the head of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Montenegrin Parliament, he, like other supporters and relativizers of genocide, joined the LGBT Forum Progress to promote his new position. At that time, we warned and criticized Progress for inviting Vucurovic to events and promoting him, even though the public was aware of the discriminatory views of DF MPs. Now, in addition to the coalition of the NGO sector for the rights of LGBTIQ people, Progress has also distanced itself.

Danijel Kalezic of Queer of Montenegro has been consistently warning about Vucurovic’s views from the beginning.

Democrats forcing the Prosecutorial Council, others keeping silent

At today’s session, the Parliamentary Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration should determine the proposal for the election of four members of the Prosecutorial Council from the ranks of eminent lawyers. Chairman of the Committee and MP of Democratic Montenegro Momo Koprivica claims that there have been no negotiations on names with colleagues from the parliamentary majority these days, but also says that the appointment of lawyer Borivoje Djukanovic, one of the candidates for whom the media wrote in recent days, is acceptable for the DF too.

DPS-SDP coalition or minority government in Cetinje

After the meeting of the representatives of the Stara Garda (Old Guard) of LSCG and SDP regarding the possibility of cooperation, and regarding the potential formation of a new city administration, the SGLSCG said that any variant of alliances with DPS, URA and Democrats is out of the question, while it would support a minority government led by the SDP. The Old Guard said that the SDP prefers a coalition with the DPS.

There is oil, there is no oil

At first there is some, then there is none. After Minister Bojanic said at the beginning of the month that they were optimistic, his ministry now says that optimism has subsided. By 15 January, we need to find out whether the survey project is being pursued or suspended.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.

Kind regards,

Ljubomir Filipovic, CdM analyst
