Ten to Eight – Prime Minister & Vultures

You are reading a daily contextual review of the news that marked the previous day.

After visiting Sarajevo, where he was greeted by Mr Dodik‘s henchmen in the federal government, the Prime Minister got to a “free territory” by a government plane, where he could rest and talk about integrated border crossings and much more. Mr Senad Pećanin gave an excellent comment for Antena M on the Prime Minister’s visit to Sarajevo. And he inspired Mr Andrej Nikolaidis to have a little fun with the fact that people increasingly associate the Prime Minister with alcohol.

The Prime Minister continued his walk in Banja Luka, and then enjoyed the company of “Vultures”, fans of Banja Luka’s Borac, known for their chauvinistic choreographies that celebrate Mr Ratko Mladić.

Deportation anniversary

Almost 3 decades have passed since one of the biggest stains on the face of Montenegro, when we sent Bosniak refugees to Radovan Karadzic for murder. The commemorative gathering in Herceg Novi was attended by activists, Government representatives and political parties. Numerous reactions from SDP, BS, SPP, as well as 21. Maj Civic Initiative followed.

RTCGate 2

As Democrats threaten to release more recordings they obtained illegally, and as they file criminal charges for fabricated crimes, several criminal charges are being prepared against them, related to the real crime of illegal recording and wiretapping. They do not seem to be aware of the nonsense they have done and for which they are condemned even by critics of the former government and activists close to them and any normal person who is aware that we can’t record and target people so easily without consequences.

Apologies for recklessly supporting selective abortion

After SNP MP Dragan Ivanović recklessly, and perhaps unintentionally, justified the phenomenon of selective abortion in Montenegro, by which parents, when they find out their child’s gender terminate the pregnancy if it is a girl, and after the reactions and criticism from the NGO sector, DPS, SDP and 21. Maj, MP Ivanović apologized to the citizens for what he had said.

“Hey, the wing of our plane is burning”

If PM Zdravko Krivokapić had a PR service, he would be advised not to talk about the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) in Sarajevo, brandy and the like. If the Government had a communications bureau and someone in charge of communications in general, it would certainly have been avoided to announce the start of ticket sales for the first flights of the new company, whose establishment is accompanied by numerous controversies and post a photo of the plane whose engine is burning.

Igman initiative on the future of the region

Organized by the Igman Initiative, a zoom Conference – Forum of the Initiative on: European Integration and the Western Balkans is to be held tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm, at which prominent civil activists, university professors and members of the Igman Initiative from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina will have open dialogue on the perspectives of the Western Balkans, especially in the light of the ongoing process of European integration.

That’s all about the boring Tuesday. We wish you an equally boring Wednesday, to take a break.
