Montenegro is a reliable partner of the USA, it was pointed out at the meeting held between president of the Parliament Mr Ivan Brajović, congressman Michael Turner and co-chairman of the congressman caucus, Chellie Pingree and Doug Lamborn, which was held in Washington today.
Mr Brajović is attending 68th Prayer Breakfast in Washington.
“Mr Brajović acquainted interlocutors with the current political events in Montenegro and the WB region, and expressed his gratitude for the support the Congress and the USA continuously provide for our country”, the statement said.
He emphasized the importance of further strengthening relations and strategic partnership between the two friendly states in all areas of cooperation.
He highlighted the importance of the USA in the WB. He stressed our country’s commitment to further reforms and importance of the EU membership.
Mr Turner confirmed the importance of Montenegro’s NATO membership.
Congresswoman Chellie Pingree pointed out the importance of strategic partnership with Montenegro.
In the capacity of co-chairman, Mr Doug Lamborn said he was proud of the results Montenegro had achieved.
Mr Brajović also met with the vice-president of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Ms Heather Conley. Ms Conley explained that the organization followed democratic processes and overall situation in the WB.
