Tivat airport welcomed passengers from Hannover

Tivat airport had its first flights following the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, the Airports of Montenegro noted today.

The national airline, Montenegro Airlines (MA), started flying from Tivat to Hannover at 6.30 am, while 70 passengers arrived in Montenegro from this German city at 11.20 am.

In May and until 21 June, Tivat airport welcomed around 300 passengers who were using general aviation, i.e. small, private planes, which is almost the same number when it comes to the non-commercial air traffic compared to last year.

“These results remind of the last year’s ones, and even though it’s about general aviation, it fills us with optimism that the air traffic will gradually resume,” said Ms Marina Miketić Nikolić, a spokeswoman of the Airports of Montenegro.
