Uljarevic alleged plagiarism: just a set-up or an affair?

Daliborka Uljarević

Independent media network of the Western Balkans, Antidot, published a research which, according to them, proves that Daliborka Uljarević, executive director of the NGO Centre for Civic Education (CGO), who has been strongly criticising any kind of plagiarism, plagiarized her academic work in 2004, when she presented it at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade.

According to this research, Uljarević had copied ideas and views from the book of Dr Radovan Radonjić that was published only a few months later. In an interview with Pobjeda daily, Uljarević adamantly claimed she was not a plagiarist and explained all the fuss about it was just a set-up by certain political structures.

She told Pobjeda daily: “These allegations are just a set-up by those political structures that have problems with the CGO positive performance in modernization and Europeanisation of the Montenegrin society, and I categorically deny all of them.”

Commenting on this situation, Prof Dr Radovan Radonjić yesterday told Pobjeda he has never heard of Antidot’s claims before and he himself could not believe it.

This is the second time Daliborka Uljarević is accused of copying the other person’s ideas and views.
