Vučić: I’m not interfering into the formation of Montenegrin government

Aleksandar Vučić

Serbia’s president, Mr Aleksandar Vučić, claims that he is not interfering into the formation of Montenegrin government and points out that those who own media and money strive to rule the region and the world.

“I’m not worried about the attacks on me; I’ve had enough of that. What has worried me are the statements made by some people, tycoons or politicians in Montenegro, I’m not even sure who they are”, Mr Vučić said at the press conference today.

He stresses that Serbs are normal and decent people, who want to claim their rights and nothing else.

“The new paradigm in political lives of the entire region, Europe and wider has passed without any reaction and that concerns me. Let me translate to you one of the statements I’ve heard: “People, you are crazy to vote. Who cares who you voted for. It doesn’t make a difference. We don’t want those you voted for to rule. We, the elite, we are going to rule”, Mr Vučić said.

He explains that this paradigm exists in a part of the modern world where people don’t have to win the elections or be supported by people in order to rule.

“And they are proud of that. That’s one of the dangerous and creepy things and we are going to fight against it. I want stable relations with Montenegro and I hope it will be so”, he concluded.
