On the occasion of the manifestation “Days of Montenegro in Zagreb- Creative Montenegro”, bilateral encounter of the Mayor of Podgorica and Zagreb took place today.
The two mayors, Ivan Vuković and Milan Bandić, spoke about the reestablishment of air line Podgorica-Zagreb, which is necessary to resolve at state level.
Vuković thanked Bandić on his warm welcome and expressed satisfaction with his stay in friendly Croatia and beautiful Zagreb.
Vuković added that he would use this visit as an opportunity to get familiar with the development projects and plans in Zagreb. The idea is to use great political and economic relations between the two states in order to improve communication and deepen the relationship between the capitals.
“Also, Montenegrin community in Zagreb enjoys great status, thanks to Bandić. That’s one of the bridges of cooperation which is at the same time a solid foundation for everything we are planning, and we are planning so many things”, said Vuković.
Bandić pointed out excellent cooperation with the Montenegrin national minority in Zagreb.
“By summer, we will have visited Podgorica and formalized our relations. We have so many things that connect us”, said Bandić.
Those points of contact are exactly the ones that should be worked on – culture, economy, tourism and science and they will, therefore, sign the Protocol on mutual understanding and friendship.
