Vulin’s statement cannot be official position of Serbia’s government

Vulin

Military analyst from Belgrade, Aleksandar Radić, has estimated that yesterday’s request of Serbian defense minister Aleksandar Vulin for Montenegro to reconsider its decision to send military personnel in KFOR (NATO-led operation in Kosovo), may be regarded as an outburst.

Radić says he expects that the official position of the Government of Serbia and its PM, Aleksandar Vučić, won’t be the same as the one which could be heard yesterday by Serbian defense minister.

Montenegro’s National Security Council decided to send military personnel to join KFOR, the NATO-led operation in Kosovo. Montenegro plans to send two military officers- one officer will be deployed in KFOR command in Pristina and the other in the mission’s regional headquarters in Skopje, Macedonia.

Aleksandar Vulin yesterday called for Montenegro not to deploy its military officers in the NATO-led mission in Kosovo as it hadn’t consulted Serbia before making such a decision.

Montenegrin Ministry of Defense yesterday told to Pobjeda that for now they won’t react on Vulin’s statement.

Military analyst Aleksandar Radić believes that’s not even necessary given the fact Vulin’s statement does not represent the official position of Serbian government.
