What is this hue and cry all about?

The moment the “freedom” was won, and before the new government took over the reins, the liberators stripped off masks of democrats, annulled every ethical distance and started getting their hands dirty.

This all started even before the elections. Two journalists from the Public Service- Ms Tanja Šuković and Ms Snežana Rakonjac – were nailed to the pillar of shame, beaten by lies. Only because they dared to remind us of what Amfilohije Radović once said.

Their own media house failed to protect them from the inquisitors. NGOs remained silent, professional associations and fervent advocates for female rights and gender equality too. They don’t want to go against church, some curse will be thrown on them…

Defense of shrines, wasn’t it?

But the silence was soon broken. One NGO heroine started shouting not long after the elections. But not to defend but rather to attack. Head of the Safe Women’s House started targeting – women. Her first target was Ms Tamara Nikčević whom she told that “it will be dense for her if she stays here”. Then she turned to Ms Aleksandra Vuković, former journalist and the present MP and told her that “from now on she will only be able to babysit and teach them Serbian”.

When her intentions were disclosed, she said that her targeting was – a joke. Some jokes can destroy many lives.

Oh yes, and colleagues from the NGO sector haven’t even said a word. But who cares about the collateral victims in the conquest for new grants?

Defense of holy grants, isn’t it?

And then Montenegrin, only by his last name, appeared. Adviser to Mr Krivokapić, the same one who kisses Amfilohije’s hand today and who kissed a terrorist’s hand yesterday, has come up with a simple yet very efficient plan to deal with media pluralism. One of the political objectives he advises is to shut down Dnevne novine. And then Pobjeda, CdM, Antena M, Analitika…

His political partner, a democrat in his soul, Mr Dritan Abazović, joined him and rushed to confirm the aforementioned political objectives. No – the anthem, the coat of arms and the flag will remain untouched. Oh yes, CdM portal of Stathis will be shut down. And then, as you can probably guess, they will fulfill the pre-election will of the Vijesti mentor – Pobjeda, Antena M, Analitika will be shut down too. Not necessarily in this order, but none of them will be left out, that’s important. Congratulations, the new government is writing a history: for the first time in the long tradition of censorhip, two politicians announced the shut down of inconvenient media.

That terrible principle of “tearing down the flowers” was identified just recently by RTCG journalist, Ms Duška Pejović, who became target of misogynist, pro-fascist comments due to questions she asked. This journalist was labeled “regime journalist” overnight. And with all that, Europe said amen.

And finally, as it usually happens, another obscure person emerged from the mud; the dependent media tycoon and independent stealer of shares and semi-literate intriguer Željko Ivanović, Montenegrin Aleksa Žunjić, only with less intellect.

Just like other tiny mercenaries, he delivered to the new government a list for persecution:Tamara Nikčević (hmm, it might be the obsession with the unattainable), Darko Šuković (the obsession of the smaller with the bigger), Andrej Nikolaidis (that obsession of the untalented with talent must be terrible), Draško Đuranović (obsessive complex of lower value), Viktor Ivančić (obsession of unknown origin) and many more…

Is Ivanović running for the prison guard and denunciator or this is all about trying to silence or get rid of unwanted witnesses to his greed and lies – that doesn’t matter. The beater knows it best: the freedom of the persecution of those who do not share his views is the highest form of freedom because it is not restricted by truth or morals.

Persecution and hue and cry, two Montenegrin words, rule Montenegro again. All with tacit consent of national fighters for democracy and human rights. And more importantly: silence of international community which is turning its head so as not to notice the signs of fascism, resurrection of chetnik-ism and creation of the outlines of theocratic state in which priests form the government.

And now Europeans are waiting to see radical changes in near future. They have changes already, but they seem to be return to the past.

But this is not going to pass.
