Woman who tested positive for coronavirus gives birth to boy

Head of the Crisis Unit, Dr Ranko Lazović, said today at the media conference that a woman who tested positive for coronavirus had given birth to a baby in “Codra” hospital.

He said that the baby was born by C-section.

“The boy was tested. We’ll have results tomorrow. We are hoping for the best”, Dr Lazović said.

Answering journalists’ questions, doctor said that a total of 39 patients had been hospitalized.

“There are 6 patients in the General Hospital in Nikšić, 12 patients in Bar Hospital, two patients were discharged this morning. In the hospital in Berane there are four patients. Three patients were discharged from the Infectious clinic today”, Dr Lazović said.

Two patients are still on ventilator, whereas one is a dialysis patient.

Director of the Emergency Unit, Dr Nermin Abdić, thanked citizens for their responsible behavior.

“Measures we are taking are not repressive measures. If we are all socially responsible , we are going to win this battle. So, let’s act responsibly”, Dr Abdić said.

Police are investigating

Dr Lazović touched on the list of infected persons that has become public.

“Police have undertaken measures. Activities are underway”, he said.

Meals meeting all standards

Dr Abdić says that meals served in the Infectious clinic meet all the standards.

“Patients are served five meals, after which all utensils are destroyed. The food for employees is distributed under special conditions . We take care of our patients”, Dr Andić says.

Vrela Ribnička under police control

Police officers are trying to prevent communication among residents of Vrela Ribnička.

“I urge residents to inform police in case they notice any assemblies”, Dr Abdić said.

Situation in Nikšić

“Six patients are in hospital. They are all feeling well”, Dr Lazović said.

72 ventilators in the Clinical Center

Dr Abdić says there are enough ventilators.

Twenty healthcare workers infected with coronavirus

“One hygiene worker, pharmaceutical technician, a technician, six doctors, one dentist and nurses”, Dr Lazović said.

17 tonnes of medical equipment arrived

“We received 17 tonnes of medical equipment, two tonnes couldn’t fit. They will be delivered later”, Dr Lazo0vić said.
