The world media report about the bombing of the US Embassy, which took place about midnight in Podgorica.
It was the breaking news in the US media this morning. The New York Times writes that a man threw an explosive device onto the grounds of the United States Embassy in Montenegro late Wednesday night, but succeeded only in killing himself.
It reports that Steve Goldstein, the State Department’s undersecretary for public diplomacy and public affairs said that witnesses had seen the man, who had not been identified, throw an object over the wall of the embassy property in Podgorica. He added that the blast had killed the man but had not injured anyone in the embassy, which had been closed for the night.
It added that the motive of the attack was not known, and the embassy told the employees not to come to work for safety reasons.
